About M365Brief

Why M365Brief exists, who it is for and how its news and guides are made. Independent of Microsoft.

M365Brief is for the people who have to roll out Microsoft 365 Copilot and manage endpoints safely: Microsoft 365 and Intune admins, security engineers, and the consultants and builders who work with them.

Why it exists

Admins are asked to switch on Copilot and agents while keeping devices and data under control, often without time to test. M365Brief offers practical, tested guidance instead of announcements repeated without context.

What you’ll find

  • News: changes that matter to admins, each linked to a primary source.
  • Guides: step-by-step walk-throughs, tested in a lab tenant, with the date or version they were tested on.
  • Tools: tools and resources, including the awesome list.
  • A weekly newsletter: the week’s changes in five minutes. Subscribe.

Topics: Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents, Intune and endpoint management, security (Entra, Purview, Defender) and AI governance.

How content is made

Every news item links to a primary source. Guides are tested in a lab tenant before publishing. AI tools may help find, summarise and draft, but a human reviews every published word and is responsible for it. Read the editorial policy, the disclosure and how to report a correction.

Who runs it

M365Brief is written by Deep Shah, a cloud and security engineer in the Greater Toronto Area with more than six years in the Microsoft ecosystem. He holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification and runs Deep Shah IT Consulting.
